It's been awhile since I've updated things here. Probably because there's been lots going on. I've had quick trips to the States and to Germany with work plus big projects going on that's taken a lot of my time but I've been making progress on the book. It's strange remoulding something but the feedback I had from my agent was great and spot-on and really helpful. Writing is such a solitary experience normally so its really good to have someone to talk to about cursed swords and monsters and worlds that exist in my mind alone. The rewriting/editing is go well and I can feel the book becoming better/sharper.
I'm running again too but struggling if I'm being honest. Being ill took more out of me than I realised but I'm getting there. It's beautiful out at the moment too but I must admit to questioning my sanity when I have to scrape ice off my car before I could drive to the common to run.
So I heard back from my agent and there's lots of work to do. I'm not surprised, as much as I wanted everything to be perfect. But probably the best thing I've learned from advertising is how everything can be made better with feedback. My job is to guide creatives' work to new and interesting places and that's exactly what's needed here. Only the ego stops you learning and growing. I want to be successful at this writing game. I want to be the best I can be.
Already my thoughts are taking RANE into new and interesting places... but lots of work lies ahead.
