Done. Finished for now. No more red lines. No more questioning every little word. Only new stuff now. Hurrah.
The other great news is the debate over book titles is over. The book is officially called WE ARE THE DEAD (The Last War Book 1) and will be out in May 2019. I am so so happy about that. The title actually came from a poem from World War I called In Flanders Fields by John McCrae. In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. There's lots of themes in the book but this poem captures the spirit of it all.
