The Book now stands at just under 15,000 words after 13 days. I slowed down over the weekend. Two crazy kids kind of take up a lot of energy - to the point it feels like being back at work is a break! But still managed to get stuff done. I got up at 5am this morning to crank out 700 words before breakfast as well. I know I'm not the fastest writer and I easily get distracted but I'm super happy with where I am. I must admit there were moments post-finishing HWF that I honestly thought I wasn't going to be bale to write a book again. Everything I tried, I failed spectacularly to make any progress. I couldn't even write one page of one book idea I had. The Book almost feels like it's writing itself at the moment. I'm still drawing too. Not as regularly as I was during Inktober but sneaking time here and there — mainly when I'm too frazzled to write. As the release date for Rogue One draws near, I've started doodling some of the characters from that movie. I've bought a few Copic markers to try out. They are the ones all the comic book artists use and I must say I've become a big fan very quickly. Much better than the ones I've been using previously - especially the Windsor and Newton ones I bought. Rather surprisingly I found them in a book shop rather than an art store - but that's Dubai really!
