This is my view when I write and just a few of the army of superhero statues that I have. To the left are all the Avengers and to the right are the X-men, both old and new teams (new as in the 70's new - not whatever crap they are producing now). Left off camera are the Fantastic Four, Daredevil and a section with Hellboy, three Gredels and Kevin Matchstick from Matt Wagner's Mage.
You can also see some of my overflowing book shelves. As you can imagine I love reading - is there a writer who doesn't? We've just moved offices in my day job to central London and I now have a 45 minute commute that I love because it means I can read for 45 minutes each way without any interruptions. Bliss. The book is just nudging 14,000. Not as much as I'd have liked but respectable - still an average of 1,000 a day. In ten days I have a week off work from the day job and I want to get a good amount done then. The downside though is I am knackered. Sometimes I think I've taken on too much, especially with the running and most importantly spending time with my family but it's a case of knuckling down and getting on with it. And making sure I sleep when I can!
